Rob Meyer

Rob Meyer of North Carolina, adopted an 4 trees with a donation of $100.  A Nogal (Walnut), CaƱaro, Guaba, and a Palmbil.

The donation, while protecting 1 acre of primary rainforest, will be used to reforest 3 acres of deforested jungle, as shown in the image. Over 300 trees will be purchased and planted, providing habitat.

DeLar Reserve

Valerie DeLar , of Tuscon Arizona, adopted an acre of PRIMARY JUNGLE with a donation of $1,000.

Leah Buikstra

Leah Buikstra, of Columbia, Maryland, adopted a chontilla tree, shown below. Her donation was then used to purchase 10 trees, 5 Caoba, 2 Fernandez-Sanchez, and 3 Cedar trees, all native species from the area.

The donation provided employment, for Gonzalo Lopez; his horse was rented to bring the trees up to the site of reforestation. A local cattle farmer, Gonzalo Lopez inquired about the project during the walk, which including a discussion about the importance of reforestation, key areas in his own farm to reforest, and the long term benefits of this and other eco-friendly practices.
